Whilst our wine list is 100% organic/vegan/vegetarian, to keep the menu within the organic remit we have where possible sourced a selection of spirits and liquors which are produced organically. We aim to offer an alternative to popular branded market leaders, but without compromising on taste. Currently the range of organic products are quite limited, but through talking to producers and merchants we hope to further develop our list as availabily permits.
Although driven by organics we periodically make an exception to the rule and stock guest wines, beers and liquors that are produced locally and are of exceptional quality. For further informaton keep an eye on our specials board in the restaurant or continue to cellar news.
Dessert Wines
Saussignac - Chateau Richard '02
This wonderful sweet wine has it all, with praline, orange blossom and honey flavours which are at no point overly intense with the acidity in perfect balance. With a long length this is a real treat and can be enjoyed with any number of fruity puddings or on its own.
DOCG Recioto Di Soave San Zeno - Fasoli Gino '03
100% Garganega.
Only the best grapes are used from selected bunches with low yields. The grapes are again selected for quality In the winery before being hung vertically onto nets in a dry place for five to six months to concentrate the natural sugars.
Excellent both as a dessert wine, and as a digestive (for example served with a matured cheese). The crisp acidity gives an excellent contrast to the sweet, vanilla and at times spicy flavour with a bouquet of almonds and ripe fruit.
